As Paris Fashion Week kicks off, the streets surrounding the shows and venues become full of colour and glamorous style.

Each person is dressed in their own unique style, allowing fashion to be a form of individualism.

Y-3 - Nomad Wedge

Las Vegas is a world on its own. To describe the craziness and energy in this city is impossible.

Whilst walking around one of the casino malls, I came across a store  by the name of Y-3. Inside I found a range of clothing and shoes that were completely different to anything else I have come across. One shoe in particular was the NOMAD WEDGE.

Here is a bit about the brand:

The Y stands for: YOHJI YAMAMOTO

The 3 represents ADIDAS’ THREE SIGNATURE STRIPES

And the dash represents the bond between the two.

Using the avant-garde aesthetic of the well known and extremely creative mind of Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto with the breakthrough technologies of adidas, Y-3 has created a completely new category within fashion, composed of equal parts luxury, style, craftsmanship, and forward-thinking design.

Betsey Johnson

 

Betsey Johnson, one of the most eccentric personalities in the fashion world has gone bankrupt. Betsey Johnson ( who is known in the fashion industry  for cartwheeling at the end of her fashion shows and her extremely crazy pink penthouse) and her chain of high end boutiques filled with glitter and sparkling goodness were not doing so well.

Miss Johnson has known that her iconic label has been struggling for years, so it is lucky for her that Steve Madden acquired her brand. However it is not lucky for the 350 + employees who have or will loose their jobs when the boutiques close this year.

Having an obsession with studs and spikes and seeing all the different variations and the way designers use the metal is amazing. I love how studs can change an outfit and add an edgy look to an otherwise simple outfit.
